Well, the state t-ball tournament was a rousing success. The team went 3-1, beating Rockdale twice and Groves Golden Triangle once. We ended up losing to Humble, who were very good (they had to be to beat us!). Chandler did very well, especially considering he had a swollen right eye. He hit one home run (a single with a three base error), and made several very good plays at first base. In the first game, we turned two legitimate double plays, which is virtually unheard of in t-ball. We had a great, great time being down there as a family. Billie and I really missed Alexa, but we were glad to not have had to lug around strollers, diaper bags, etc. all week. A big thanks to my Mom for watching her last week. It was great to get home to see my baby, though!

Well, two days before we leave to go compete in the state tournament in T-Ball, Chandler takes a line drive off of his face. Of course, our hardest hitter on the team was the one who delivered the blow, but Chandler toughed it out and finished practice. He really was quite brave. I think he was more concerned about how the black eye would look instead of how much it hurt. We leave for Houston tomorrow with one more black eye than we had planned. There are some pictures of the carnage here. There are two pictures, and I put them in at original size so you can really see the cut. :)

Chandler won the first game of Regionals last night, 19-3 against Glen Rose. It was a great game, and the Bulldogs were firing on all cylinders. Chandler did drop one ball that he should have had, but we corrected the problem. His game tonight is at 6:30, but I am not sure who we play. I will update tomorrow on how this one goes.

Well, I typed a message a few days ago, but for some reason my blog won't publish.

Some big news! Alexa is cutting her top four teeth. She has had a few crabby days, but for the most part, she is the perfectly happy baby we have all come to know and love. Not only that, but she is pulling herself up to a standing position on things like the couch, coffee table, and chairs. She is very close to standing, and not that far from walking. She is pretty smart, so she shouldn't be that far off.

Chandler's All Star season continues. They took second in the Benbrook tournament, first in the Burleson tournament (after 5 games in a row on the same day) and first place in the Granbury tournament, despite the umpires' attempt to make the game as unfun as possible. They are now in kind of a bye week as we get a free pass through district as we are hosting the tournament, so we are using the week to fine tune the team and play some tough scrimmages. Chan has been playing first base, and he continues to amaze me at how good he is. The boy catches balls that some adults couldn't catch, and he does it consistently. Also, this company comes to the games and takes really good pictures of the players. We bought some of them, they are available here. Enjoy!Click Here for the Pics!

Whatever I want it to be. My thoughts, my family, my rants. All in one delicious, appetizing sampler.
